Maintained reserve "Burnt Gune" is located on a total area of 32.56 hectares. The territorial scope of the maintained reserve covers the Municipality of Krichim, town of Krichim.
The protected area has been declared in order to protect the natural habitat of juniper trees.
Until the management plan in the maintained reserve is approved, the following activities are allowed:
Sanitary felling when more than 5% of the stand is dry;
Maintenance and rehabilitation activities;
Use of biological plant protection products.

Maintained Reserve Kazal Cherpa (Zhenda)
Maintained reserve "Kazal Cherpa (Zhenda)" is located on a total area of 41.29 hectares. The territorial scope of the reserve covers the Municipality: Chernoochene, the village of Zhenda.
The protected area has been declared for the protection of natural black pine forests.
Until the management plan in the maintained reserve is approved, the following activities are allowed:
Sanitary felling when more than 5% of the stand is dry;
Removal of fallen mass as a result of natural disasters;
Use of biological plant protection products.
The protected area overlaps (partially or completely) with:

Maintained Reserve Konski Do
Maintained reserve "Konski dol" is located on a total area of 34.4 hectares. The territorial scope of the maintained reserve covers the Municipality of Satovcha, the village of Pletena, the village of Satovcha.
The protected area has been declared in order to protect a centuries-old mixed beech and spruce forest.
Until the management plan in the maintained reserve is approved, the following activities are allowed:
Sanitary felling when more than 5% of the stand is dry;
Removal of fallen mass as a result of natural disasters;
Use of biological plant protection products.

Maintained reserve "Shabanitsa" is located on a total area of 22.08 hectares. The territorial scope of the maintained reserve covers the Municipality of Devin, the village of Kesten, the village of Trigrad.
The protected area has been declared in order to protect a centuries-old beech and spruce forest.
Until the management plan in the maintained reserve is approved, the following activities are allowed:
Sanitary felling when more than 5% of the stand is dry;
Maintenance and rehabilitation activities;
Use of biological plant protection products.

Maintained Reserve Tamna Gora
Maintained reserve "Dark Forest" is located on a total area of 32.58 hectares. The territorial scope of the maintained reserve covers the Municipality of Garmen, village of Kovachevitsa.
The protected area has been declared in order to protect a centuries-old mixed forest of spruce, beech and fir, typical of this part of the Rhodopes.
